Profile
M.
Wayne Miller has found his home as an illustrator of the bizarre, fantastic,
and strange. His work has been described as Techno-Gothic Horror, combining
dark mood with malevolent technology in a futuristic nightmare that
has disturbing relevance in this new millennium. One look at his website
will serve to enlighten one’s luddite sensibilities.
During the 90’s Wayne illustrated numerous issues of magazines
such as DEATHREALM, TERMINAL FRIGHT, LORE, ABERRATIONS, FLESH &
BLOOD and EPITAPH, as well as many role-playing gamebooks for Chaosium’s
CALL OF CTHULHU series. Additionally, he completed sourcebooks for Web
Games and color covers for Web of Heroes and the hardback short
story collection Terminal Frights. Several of his works are featured
in the hardback collection New Mythos Legends from Marietta Publishing.
Wayne’s work has been featured in many solo exhibitions, as well
as the 1996 World Fantasy Convention, Dragon Con 1999, Fantasm 2K, and
ImagineCon 2000. In 1999, he received the Best Monochrome Award in the
prestigious World Horror Convention art show, and has been a StellarCon
art show regular since #27, winning “Best Science Fiction”
in 2004. His work was recently exhibited in “Art of the Imagination:
Contemporary Illustration” at The Art Institute of Atlanta, along
with the artists Bob Burden, Andy Lee, Dan Henderson, and William Stout.
Wayne is currently involved in a period of personal artwork production,
honing his painting skills for a re-emergence as a color cover illustrator
for mass-market book publishers, where the future looks incredibly dark
and horrifically spectacular. To see more of Wayne’s work, including
some new ones not yet on his official site, check out the forum sites
