Reflection

I built this painting around the mirrored orb, and titled it accordingly. It was my first use of a full underpainting, with color washed over a monotone image. I learned quite a bit during the completion of this and the chronologically following "A Choice Not Taken", and they were instrumental in building my current working methodology. I had planned a fairy tale image, but was never pleased with the almost Disney-esque look of the princess and castle. I did, however, really like the Art Deco gargoyle!
