Jekyll Is. Club

The Jekyll Is. Club, now a hotel, is a bit of the old world, restored to former glory and offering a superb destination for travel, or in my case recently, a wedding. I wanted to sketch while on the island, but the pesky no-seeums put an end to that quickly, so this drawing came from photo reference taken specifically for this purpose. The long hallways brought to mind the Overlook Hotel (of Stephen King's THE SHINING fame), and my new bride and I kept expecting the two ghost girls to appear...
